From Big Band Swing to the magic of Motown, this is one night you do not want to miss want to miss.

As you are hopefully by now aware, August will see the commencement of the refurbishment of the Queenstown Memorial Hall Trust.

The Memorial Hall is one of the true anchors for our community. It is where so many of us come together to be entertained, to celebrate, to meet, to mourn and to perform. And now, as a community, it is our chance to make a small contribution to not only ensuring the Hall can continue to serve our needs well into the future, but to also make some stunning improvements that will make it infinitely more usable and a much more pleasant and welcoming venue in which to come together.

The Reach Out concert will mark the commencement of our fundraising activities and is your first chance to not only contribute to the project, but to get a hell of night's entertainment in return.

The show will feature three stunning acts of entertainment bringing together some of the greatest songs of all time, a world-class band and some top notch vocalists as well.

Simon Green, Chris Powley, Russell Harrison and Douglas Kamo will be singing (and dancing) up a storm. Our fantastic band is led by Stuart Walker - Musical Director for The Rocky Horror Show, Les Miserables and most recently, Dunedin’s Big Night In concert at Dunedin’s new Forsyth Barr Stadium.

And to give you plenty of time to catch up and share a drink, I've split the show into three acts:

Act 1 will commence with a Big Band show including hits such as Cry Me A River, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, The Way You Look Tonight, Mack The Knife, My Way and much more.

Act 2 will see the return of the Chris and Chet show which debuted to Queenstown as part of the Winter Festival in 2010. This is an award winning musical comedy act that I know you will thoroughly enjoy.

Act 3 is all about Motown. From the Temptations and Marvin Gay to Diana Ross and The Supremes – You will know every song and you will be expected to dance.

Seating is cabaret style with 25 tables of 10 available for purchase at $850 per table. Preferential booking is open now for those wishing to purchase full tables (individual table seats and mezzanine tickets will be available at a later date). The good people at Queenstown Resort College are supporting the event and will be providing canapé service to tables pre-show and during the breaks and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening.

We are committed to kicking off our local fundraising drive with a bang and I sincerely hope you can lend us your support by getting along. Many of us are giving all of our time for free with the goal of ensuring as much of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Memorial Hall Trust. So simply by attending you will be contributing to the Memorial Hall refurbishment. But, just in case you want to contribute more, there will be the opportunity for you to pledge additional funds on the night.

Entertainment Management

From the cream of Australasia's tribute artists, cabaret entertainers and live bands to character actors, comedians, MCs and dancers, we offer a range of entertainment options that can be programmed into your event along with a comprehensive selection of themed entertainment packages and custom-designed feature entertainment that can either enhance or existing theme or become the theme that sets the tone for the entire evening.

Stage Management

You can never over plan an event. The better the planning, the easier the event is to manage. That's why we programme our events down to the minute - from the moment we arrive to pack in to the moment we leave the venue. It's our job to manage the event, it's your job to host and enjoy the event.

Technical Management

Not only do we have the experience to know what our events need from a technical perspective, but we manage the technical design, quoting and delivery process from start to finish. F & B Management

Getting the F&B right is crucial. And when you can mold it into your creative theme, it can become truly spectacular. Whether its onsite or off-site catering, we always programme the food and beverage into the evening and work with providers to incorporate it (where possible) into the theme.
